These terms cover your use of Active Metrics during the closed TestFlight beta. By installing and using the app, you agree to them, along with Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs all apps distributed through TestFlight and the App Store.
This is beta software
You’re using a work in progress. Expect bugs, missing features, and rough edges. Beta builds can and sometimes do lose data — don’t rely on Active Metrics as your only record of a workout that matters to you. TestFlight builds also expire roughly every 90 days; if yours does, you’ll need a new build from us to keep using the app.
No warranty
Active Metrics is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Not a medical device
Active Metrics is a fitness and training tool, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Heart-rate, recovery, and readiness data are estimates for training purposes — talk to a doctor about any real health concern.
Not for navigation or safety-critical use
GPS, turn-by-turn navigation, and offline maps are aids for training, not a substitute for careful route planning or good judgment outdoors. Don’t rely on Active Metrics as your sole means of navigation or safety in remote or hazardous terrain.
Your feedback
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions — through TestFlight, email, or otherwise — you grant us the right to use them to improve Active Metrics without any obligation to you.
Subscription (at 1.0 launch)
Active Metrics is free during the TestFlight beta. At 1.0 launch, the app will offer a subscription — $4.99/month or $29.99/year — for the full feature set, purchased through Apple’s standard auto-renewing in-app purchase flow via StoreKit. Beta testers get a free year at launch as a thank-you. Pricing and terms may change before 1.0 ships; this section will be updated to match Apple’s standard auto-renewable subscription disclosures once that happens.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app and the beta evolve. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
